Anna Berglund, Los Angeles hairstylist and colorist in Santa Monica

Anna Berglund started cutting hair for friends in middle school. Now, she's done it everywhere from LA red carpet events to luxury salons in the UK.

In 2004, she began her career as an apprentice at Lukaro in Beverly Hills, training under Tim Burke and working alongside Luke O'Connor and celebrity colorist Rona O'Connor. In 2011, she moved to Ruby Begonia Hair Studio, a boutique salon in Studio City run by Emmy award-winning stylist Nicole Venables. After taking some time off to start a family, she moved to Aberdeen, Scotland, where she worked as a hair stylist and colorist at the luxury salon Ishoka and the boutique salon Studio 54.

Along the way, Anna has represented Suave Professionals, worked LA Fashion Week, and brought her styling to commercial and entertainment projects — including commercial work for The Class (CBS), off-set styling for the cast of Will & Grace, and press-junket hair for Rules of Engagement. She's joined the hair team for George Clooney's Hope for Haiti Now telethon, styled for Laura McIntosh's Bringing It Home, and was celebrity-requested for an appearance on The Fran Drescher Show. Her work has aired on CBS and Fox and appeared on the red carpet at the Golden Globes, the Grammys, and the Oscars.

Today, Anna brings that same standard to her chair in Santa Monica — Sola Salon Studios at 530 Wilshire Blvd, a few blocks from the beach — serving clients across the Westside, including Santa Monica, West LA, Pacific Palisades, Malibu, Brentwood, Venice, Marina del Rey, Culver City, and Playa Vista. She's passionate about helping her clients maintain healthy hair that looks gorgeous and that's effortless to wear, day in and day out.
